Jammu
The Amar Mahal Palace is a palace in Jammu, India, which has now been converted into a Museum. It was built in the nineteenth century for Raja Amar Singh, a Dogra king by a French architect on the lines of a French Chateau. The palace was donated to the Hari-Tara charitable trust by Dr. Karan Singh for use as a museum.
Leh Palace
Leh Palace overlooks the Ladakhi Himalayan town of Leh, modelled on the Potala Palace in Lhasa, Tibet. The palace was built by King Sengge Namgyal in the 17th century. The royal family moved to Stok Palace. Leh Palace is nine storeys high; the upper floors accommodated the royal family, the stables and store rooms were in the lower floors.
Himachal Pradesh
Mural
The Mural symbolizes the flame of National Freedom. A stout arm is holding the flame aloft, showing how our heroes are making determined efforts to keep it ever high and ever burning and in doing so they are achieving martyrdom. The garlands and medals around them represent Nation's gratitude to them.
Gondola Fort
Gondola Fort is situated just about eighteen kilo meters from Keylong. The fort is situated on the right bank of the River Chandra. It was built in 1700 AD. The fort of Gondola is a magnificent fort and stands eight storeys in height. This was the command center for the sub division. The Gondola Fort towers over the region, and seems to guard the entire area.
Kumru Fort
Standing at an altitude of 2600 m above sea level, Kamru fort is 229 km from Shimla and 2 km from the beautiful Sangla Valley. The fort is set in a picturesque location and is entered through a series of gates. At the main gate of the Kamru Fort, a stunning image of Lord Buddha greets you.
Uttarakhand
Badrinath is near the headwaters of the Alakananda River, the largest tributary of the Ganges. The town is named after the presiding deity of the main temple. A particular type of black stone containing fossilized ammonite, which is it considered a "self-manifested" form of Vishnu.
Gaumukh
Gaumukh is a place that is located in the state of Uttarakhand. Gaumukh is located near the Shivling and it is present in a spot where the River Bagirathi has its source. The river is one of the main tributaries of the River Ganga and the entire place is extreme scenic and breathtaking.
Yamunotri
Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River and the seat of the Goddess Yamuna in Hinduism. It is one of the four sites in India's Chhota Char Dham pilgrimage.
Rishikesh
Rishikesh has been a part of the legendary 'Kedarkhand'.Legends state that Lord Rama did penance here for killing Ravana. The present 'Lakshman Jhula’ bridge stands today, using a jute rope bridge.
Kedarnath
Kedarnath is a Hindu holy town located in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The most remote of the four Char Dham sites, Kedarnath is located in the Himalayas, above sea level near Chorabari Glacier. Kedarnath hosts one of the holiest Hindu temples, the Kedarnath Temple, and is a popular destination for Hindu pilgrims from all over the world.
Haryana
The Barsi Gate is yet another classic example of ancient architecture. It is built in the Muslim style of architecture having strong round pillars on either side to support the gate. This huge gate looks more like a bridge on the road.
Chhachhrauli Fort
Chhachhrauli is little town in the state of Haryana near Karnal. It was once the capital of one of the India's 562 princely states. The states have the forts palaces and samadhis of the ruling family, which talks about the gone glory of this small town of Chachhrauli in Haryana.
Chor Gumbad
The Chor gumbad is affectionately called the `signboard' of the town. Standing majestically and isolated upon a rock in the north of the town, this gumbad is a well planed square building with a large chamber within and four minarets outside at each corner.
Feroz Shah's Palace
Firoz Shah Palace Complex is located in the city of Hisar in Haryana. India. The palace was built by Firoz Shah Tughlaq in 1354. The construction was completed in 1356.
Gujri Mahal
Gujari Mahal, ensconced within the spectacular Gwalior Fort. Gwalior is famed for its jewel in the crown, the impressive Gwalior Palace. The palace has been aptly described as the pearl amongst fortresses in India by none other than the Mughal monarch Babar. The palace sprawls across a generous expanse and houses several shrines and palaces, of which the Gujari Mahal holds a special place.
Ibrahim Lodhi Tomb
Located in the historic place of "Panipat", the "Ibrahim Lodhis Tomb" is a reflection of the rich architectural skills of the ancient times. This huge mausoleum was built by the able ruler "Sher Shah Suri" to commemorate the valiant and courageous Muslim ruler, "Ibrahim Lodhi". The able general was defeated in the hands of the great Mughal ruler "Babur" during the "First Battle of Panipat" in the year 1526.
Jal Mahal
Jal Mahal (meaning "Water Palace") is a palace located in the middle of the Man Sagar Lake in Jaipur city. The palace and the lake around it were renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.
Star monument
The enchanting Star Monument is a treasure to the state of Haryana. Situated in Dinaud at a distance of 12 kms from Bhiwani, the monument is built on the tomb where Param Sant Huzur Tara Chand Ji Maharaj lies in eternal peace. The building is shaped in the form of a star after the name of Maharaj Ji.
Punjab
Matchless collection of paintings arms and armours. Manuscript and coins of 18th and 19th Century. There are three Art Galleries too, in the city one attached to the Golden Temple, the other to Jallianwala Bagh and the third named after the city's famous artist, Thakar Singh.
Anglo-Sikh War Memorial
The portraits of significant historical personality and battle scenes executed by artists, Jaswant Singh and Kirpal Singh and some of the weapons used in those days are on display here. Portraits of historical personalities and battle scenes painted by Jaswant Singh and Kirpal Singhand are exhibited. Weapons used in the Anglo-Sikh War are also conserved in the memorial.
Art Gallery at Sheesh Mahal
Patiala contains a rare set of miniature paintings and paintings in Kangra, Rajasthan and Patiala styles, special section on Tibetan Arts and Artifacts etc. and its Medal Gallery contains the world's major group of Medals and decorations.
Chhattisgarh
The town of Dhamdha is situated in the district of Durg of Chhattisgarh state. The town with a small population has been declared as the Nagar Panchayat of the district. Situated along the Durg-Bemetara road, the town is easily accessible by roads from the city of Durg.
Bastar Palace
The Bastar Palace is a seventy-years-old building on the state of Chhattisgarh. Although the Royal Family resides in the palace, a part of the palace has been converted into a medical college. The palace of Bastar is situated in Jagdalpur, the district headquarters of Bastar. The district of Bastar located amidst the Abujmarh Mountains is known for being the heart of tribal civilization in India.
