Andra Pradesh

Charminar
The Charminar, built in 1591 CE, is a monument and mosque located in Hyderabad. The Charminar is on the east bank of Musi River. To the northeast lies the Laad Bazaar and in the west end lies the granite-made richly ornamented Makkah Masjid.
Golconda Fort
Golkonda also knew as GollaConda a ruined city of south India and capital of ancient Kingdom of Golkonda. The region is universally famous for the mines that have produced the world's most famous and coveted gems, including The Hope Diamond, Idol's Eye, the Koh-i-Noor and Darya-i-Noor.
Qutb Shahi Tombs
The tombs of the seven Qutub Shahi rulers in the Ibrahim Bagh (garden precinct) . The galleries of the smaller tombs are of a single storey while the larger ones are two storied. In the centre of each tomb is a sarcophagus which overlies the actual burial vault in a crypt below.

Karnadaka

Afzal Khan Cenotaph
Situated in Bijapur is the marvellous cenotaph of Afzal Khan. It is supposed that Afzal Khan started the construction of his own tomb in his lifetime. But eventually he could not be obscured there. Close by, on a large masonry platform are eleven rows of graves adding upto sixty-four, where his wives lay buried.
Anand Mahal
Ananda Mahal is also famous by name of 'Palace Of Delights' that was being built in 1589 AD by Adil Shah. This is the building of two stories that was once upon a time housed by the palace’s ladies and now has the presence of examination bungalow, gymkhana club, and many offices along with the assistant commissioner's quarters.
Badami cave temples
The Badami cave temples are a complex of temples located at Badami. They are considered an example of Indian rock-cut architecture, especially Badami Chalukya Architecture. Badami, the capital of the Early Chalukyas, who ruled Karnataka in the 6th to 8th centuries.
Belgaum Fort
Belgaum Fort is located in the city of Belgaum, in the Belgaum district, in Karnataka state, India. It was built by Jaya Raya, also called Bichi Raja, an ally of the Ratta Dynasty, in the year 1204 AD. It has undergone several renovations over the centuries under different dynastic rulers of the region.
Bidar Fort
Bidar Fort Kannada is situated in North Karnataka in Bidar district of the northern plateau of Karanataka, India. Sultan Alla-Ud-Din Bahman of the Bahmanid Dynasty shifted his capital from Gulbarga to Bidar in 1427 and built his fort along with a number of Islamic monuments.
Daria Daulat Bagh Palace
A trip from Mysore to Daria Daulat Bagh is steeped in history and takes one to the Srirangapatna, the erstwhile capital of Tippu Sultan till his death in 1799. The Daria Daulat Bagh, at about 14 km from Mysore houses a palace amidst a beautifully landscaped garden.
Gulbarga Fort
The Gulbarga Fort located in Gulbarga City, was originally built by 1347 by Al-ud-din Bahmani of the Bahmani Dynasty after he cut off his ties with the Delhi Sultanate; Islamic monuments such as mosques, palaces, tombs, and other structures were also built later within the refurbished fort.
Mysore Palace
The Palace of Mysore is a palace situated in the city of Mysore in southern India. It is the official residence of the Wodeyars the erstwhile royal family of Mysore, and also houses two durbar halls. The term "Mysore Palace" specifically refers to one within the old fort. Mysore palace is now one of the most famous tourist attractions in India after Taj Mahal.
Nobelmans Palace
To the north east of the freshly exposed underground temple in Hampi, are the remains of several palaces improved known as the Noblemen's Palaces. The size and design of these buildings identify that the aristocracy and high level army and administrative officers probably occupied them. The palace itself is surrounded by a row of rooms, separated from the main building by a paved corridor.
Yana Caves
Yana is famous for these two massive rock outcrops known as the Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and the Mohini Shikhara. The huge rocks are composed of solid black, crystalline limestone. Yana is also well known as a pilgrimage centre because of the cave temple below the Bhairaveshwara Shikhara where a Swayambhu linga has been formed.

Tamilnadu

Aranthangi Fort
Aranthangi Fort is located in the Aranthangi town. This fort was built by the Tondaiman Kings in the 16th and 17th century. This Aranthangi town has importance due to this Aranthangi ruined fort.
Bharathiyar Illam
The Bharathiyar Illam was the dwelling place of one of the most premier and cherished poets, Subramanya Bharathi who made his mark through his evergreen poems which contained a soul-stirring depiction of the various aspects of life.
Genji fort
Tamil Nadu state's Gingee fort is also known as Shingee, it is almost thirty-seven kilometers away from the eastern Thiruvannamalai. This ancient fort is very popular within Tamilnadu. It is a very old castle and has been constructed almost during the thirteenth century.
Kamaraj Memorial House
Built in the memory of Shri Kamaraj, the late chief minister of Tamil Nadu, Kamaraj Memorial House is now a permanent gallery that showcases photographs and personal effects of Kamaraj who rose out of poverty to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.
Madras War Cemetery
The Madras War Cemetery, a tribute to the valiant men and women who laid down their lives in the Second World War was set up in 1952 by the Imperial War Graves Commission, which is now known as the "Commonwealth War Graves Commission" (CWGC).
Manora Fort
The Manora fort is situated 65-km away from Thanjavur. The fort was built by Maratha ruler Serfoji II in 1814–1815 to commemorate the successful advance of the British over Napoleon Bonaparte. It is an 8-storied, hexagonal tower, which is 23-meters high overlooking the Bay of Bengal.

Kerala

The history of Kerala, India, goes back more than several millennia. Stone Age carving in Edakkal Caves had pictorial writings believed to be dating to at least 5000 BC, from the Neolithic man, indicating the presence of a prehistoric civilization or settlement in this region. From as early as 3000 BC, Kerala had established itself as a major spice trade center. Kerala had direct contact across the Arabian Sea with all the major Red Sea ports and the Mediterranean ports as well as extending to ports in the Far East. The spice trade between Kerala and much of the world was one of the main drivers of the world economy. For much of history, ports in Kerala were the busiest (Muziris) among all trade and travel routes in the history of the world.
Anchunthengu Fort
Located about 36 Kms north of Thiruvananthapuram, near the famed beach of Varkala and lying on the seacoast is Anjengo or Anjuthengu, meaning five coconut trees. This place had a historic importance as well as beautiful natural setting.
Archaeological Museum
The Archaeological Museum was until recently accommodated in the Thrissur Town Hall building. Now it has been shifted to the Kollengode Palace, an architectural delight.
Bekal Fort
Location: About a kilometre from Bekal Fort, about 16 km south of Kasaragod on the national highway, Kasaragod district. The imposing circular fort at Bekal is one of the largest and best preserved forts in Kerala.
Bishops Houset
Built by the Portuguese in A.D.1506 as residence of the Portuguese governor, Bishop House is the oldest Catholic Dioceses in India located near the Parade ground, Fort Kochi.it is characterised by large arches in Gothic Style and has circular garden path winding up to the main entrance.
Bolghatty Palace
Built by the Dutch in 1744, the Bolghatty palace in Ernakulam is on an island, off Cochin in the Arabian Sea. The building was once a Governor’s palace for the Dutch and later the home of the British Residents.
Dutch Palace, Mattanchery
Dutch Palace, with its medieval charm is situated at Palace Road, Mattancherry. Kerala. Built by the Portuguese and presented to the Raja of Kochi Veera Kerala Varma (1537-65) in 1555 AD. It is a portrait gallery of the Cochin Rajas and notable for some of the best mythological murals in India, which are in the best traditions of Hindu Temple Art.
Gundert Bungalow
Gundert’s Bungalow at Nettur is on the outskirts of Thalaserry. It is a historically significant place for all lovers of Malayalam Language.Dr. Herman Gundert, the revered German missionary, scholar and lexicographer lived in this bungalow for 20 years from 1839.
Hill Palace
This museum displays the erstwhile wealth and prosperity of the royal family of Cochin, including the king’s throne and crown. Also on display are other trapping of royalty like majestic beds, paintings, carving and samples of epigraphy.
Indo – Portuguese Museum
The Indo-Portuguese Museum situated in Fort Kochi throws light on the strong Portuguese influence in both the art and the architecture of the region. The museum is divided into five main sections. The museum at present houses some marvelous items that are aesthetically appealing and show the strong influence of the Portuguese style of art.
Jewish Synagogue
This imposing structure was built in 1568 when the Jews settled in Mattancherry, after their expulsion from the Rahabi. They built a clock tower and paved the floor of the synagogue with 18th century hand painted willow pattern tiles brought from China.
Koyikkal Palace
The Koyikkal Palace is located at Nedumangad. Main attractions at the Palace are the folklore museum and numismatics museum. The Koyikkal Palace was actually built for Umayamma Rani of the Venad royal family. The palace is a double storied traditional nalukettu with slanting gabled roofs and an inner courtyard.
Krishnapuram Palace
The Krishnapuram Palace is a rare specimen of the Kerala style of architecture – complete with gabled roofs, narrow corridors and dormer windows. The age of the palace is unknown. Today the palace is an archaeological museum. Padmanabhapuram Palace
It is situated at Thucklai, on the way to Kanyakumari. This palace was once the capital of the State of Travancore. The palace is built in the Travancore architectural style. This is famous for its 17th and 18th century murals, carved mahogany ceiling, colored mica windows, secret underground passages, inner courtyards.
Palakkad Fort
Tipu’s Fort or Palakkad Fort, this well-preserved fort of 18th century is situated in the heart of Palghat town. It is today a protected monument under the Archaeological Survey of India.
Sree Chithra Art Gallery
Displaying selected paintings of famous artistes, the Sree Chithra Art Gallery, Kerala is a very favorite art gallery for connoisseur of art. The Sree Chithra Art Gallery, Kerala has a collection of century old and original world famous paintings of Raja Ravi Varma.
Nilambur Teak Plantation
The place is also noted for its tribal settlements, the world’s first Teak Museum, vast rain forests, waterfalls and ancient kovilakoms – residences of maharajas.
Vasco House
Built in the sixteenth century, Vasco House is believed to have been the residence of Vasco Da Gama, the first European to reach the Kerala shores. It is one of the oldest Portuguese residences in Fort Cochin.
St. Angelo’s fort
The St. Angelo’s fort of Kerala is a massive fort built by the first Portuguese Viceroy, Don Francisco De Almeida. It was constructed in the year 1505.St. Angelo Fort has a long history. First captured by the Dutch in 1663, the fort was sold to Ali Raja, the first Muslim ruler of Kerala in 1772.
